Being gets continued into nothingness and nothingness into being. Finite knowledge takes up what it had left out by means of the process of abstraction, but the absolute method, not being external to its object, finds in it the determination which is immanent to it. However, how can we speak of a truth of the form? Loyic and Logos are simultaneously opposite and identical.

Thus Diogenes silently walks back and forth in order to oppose the dialectic that denies movement. Its self-determination is the judgment that reproduces at the level of the concept the diremption of essence, the appearance of the particular in the universal, and of the universal in the particular.
The whole logic of essence is the logic of appearance; being has entirely become appearance and we can just as well say “this is huppolite appearance,” and “everything is in appearance. It has its being within itself because it is the universal.
These, however, are the determinations that are hyppolife prey to the dialectic, and there is no stable object below them. Being is its own self-comprehension, its own sense, and the Logos is being positing itself as sense.
Taking up successively the role of language, reflection, and categories in Hegel’s Science of Logic, Hyppolite illuminates Hegelianism’s most obscure dialectical synthesis: Logic and Existence, which originally appeared incompletes the project Hyppolite began with Genesis and Structure of Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit. With the logic of the concept, it is the category of sense which becomes the truth of the categories of being and essence.

The Logic is the absolute form which is its object for itself, like a poem whose object would be poetry and which would contain thereby intrinsically the hyppoliye of every poem. Being which appears is identical to itself in its difference, which is essential difference, that is, the difference of itself from itself. Being is not yet in-itself ane itself.
